The Beekeeping ExperienceFor those who just want to find out more about this fascinating insect and the threats it faces. This 2.5 hour experience will tell you about bees, take you to handle live bees and show you how beekeepers manage these threats to protect our bee population. These courses are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays  from the beginning of May to the end of July. Courses are from 10.00am to 12.30 pm and cost £35.


One-Day  Introductory  Beekeeping Course For those considering taking up beekeeping. This introductory course will tell you about bees, detail the equipment required and costs involved, explain how and where to get your bees and, finally, show you how to handle live bees in our own apiary. Courses are from 10am to 4pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays from the beginning of May to the end of July  – cost £70 including morning coffee and a buffet lunch.


Courses are relaxed and informal with no more than 4/5 people per group, this allows you to ask as many questions as you like. Protective clothing is provided, you will however need to bring a pair of wellington boots.
